Grant announces €8 million investment

Leading manufacturer of sustainable home heating solutions Grant has launched a new generation of hot water cylinders designed to optimise the performance of modern heat pump systems.

Designed and manufactured at Grant’s state-of-the-art facilities in Birr, County Offaly, the new Quick Recovery Cylinder range is backed by an €8 million investment in product development and a significant expansion of the company’s production facilities.

This investment increases manufacturing capacity to support growing demand for high-performance, heat pump-ready hot water solutions across Ireland, the UK, and Europe, while reinforcing Grant’s long-term commitment to innovation and Irish manufacturing.

As Ireland continues to deliver more energy-efficient new homes and undertake deep retrofit projects, every component within a heating system has an important role to play in achieving long-term performance and occupant comfort.

Unlike standard cylinders adapted for renewable systems, the new Grant Quick Recovery Cylinder range has been developed specifically for low-temperature operation, enabling installers and specifiers to maximise the efficiency and overall performance of air source heat pump systems.

Featuring high-efficiency heat exchange coils and optimised internal design, the cylinders are engineered to deliver rapid heat-up times and consistent hot water availability, even under demanding usage profiles. The range also supports faster recovery and improved system responsiveness which are key requirements for modern, well-insulated homes.

The new Grant Quick Recovery cylinders have been developed to meet the practical and technical requirements of today’s heating professionals, combining strong thermal performance with long-term reliability.

The range is available in capacities from 150 to 300 litres, with standard, slimline, smart pre-plumbed, and smart integrated configurations to suit a wide variety of installation requirements. Suitable for both new build and deep retrofit applications, the cylinders provide flexibility across a broad range of residential projects.

The range has also been shaped by valuable feedback from installers and electricians, helping to simplify installation while supporting consistent system performance. Practical, installer-friendly features streamline handling, positioning, and system integration on site.

Smart pre-plumbed models further simplify installation through factory-fitted components, helping to reduce time on site and support consistent system set-up.

Combined with Grant’s established technical and training support, the new cylinders provide a dependable, straightforward solution for specifying and installing integrated heating systems.

The launch further strengthens Grant’s integrated home heating solution, offering consultants, housing developers, local authorities, installers, and homeowners a complete heating solution including heat pumps, cylinders, and controls which are all designed to work seamlessly together.

This single-manufacturer approach streamlines specification and installation while helping to ensure optimal system performance.

Grant also provides a free heating design and specification service, supporting consultants, developers, and installers with heat loss calculations, system layouts, and detailed product specification to help optimise overall heating system performance.
